Bartender

PURPOSE OF JOB

To serve the customers with an exceptional service at all times. To deliver consistently high levels of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of customers, ensuring that all Licensing regulations are met at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1 To set up the Bar for service at the beginning of each shift.

2 To maintain cleanliness and tidiness, additionally to carry out all cleaning as instructed. Careful attention must be paid to all bar surfaces, glasses and dispensing units.

3 To stock shelves and clean glasses ensuring there is adequate supply available to last the session.

4 To be able to carry out all Restaurant procedures as required before, during and after service

5 To serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to required Restaurant standards paying attention to all Licensing and Restaurant regulations.

6 On closing the bar, ensure all relevant guest checks and transactions and monies are complete and recorded. Any surplus/deficit should be reported to the Manager on duty.

7 To deal with any complaints or difficulties tactfully, ensuring that the Management are notified immediately of any customers grievance.

8 To make recommendations or suggestions that may prove helpful to the customer being at all times friendly, helpful and courteous.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To uphold and maintain all standards in line with your department’s operating procedures.

2. To participate in training within your department and other departments as deemed appropriate by your manager.

3. To carry out any reasonable instructions/duties as directed by those senior to you.

4. To deal with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
